Triple "A" Protocol - Rice

Triple "A" rice:

  • is grown using no pesticides, herbicides, PPPs or synthetic fertilizers;
  • is grown using uncontaminated water from nearby canals;
  • is derived from single-variety seeds of ancient rice cultivars obtained from mass selection with naturally occurring or manually controlled crossbreeding (not selected for resistance to chemical treatments);
  • is wholegrain or hulled with machines that clean it thoroughly without damaging it;
  • is made of undamaged grains carefully selected for size and color to be as uniform as possible;
  • is dried using gas or machinery that prevents contact with heavy metals and paraffins;
  • is warehoused indoors off the ground and properly packaged and stored;
  • is labelled specifying the date of harvest, processing and traceability of the entire production chain.
